My journey from doubt to delight

The breakfast buffet was outstanding! Loved the variety of Icelandic delicacies and the beautiful river view added charm to our stay.

Unfortunately, I encountered issues with room cleanliness, particularly in the bathroom.

Spacious rooms with lovely riverside views are a highlight, particularly the ground-level accommodations, which offer easy access to the outdoors. The breakfast spread features plenty of fresh options, but the standout is the rich selection of pastries and local specialties served hot.

Getting to the entrance isn't exactly a walk in the park, especially with the parking lot located 50-75 meters away and limited shelter from the elements. The hot water delivers a distinct sulfur smell that’s reminiscent of rotten eggs, which could definitely take some getting used to, especially if you're expecting a fresh shower experience. Plus, the elevator situation isn't the finest—having to navigate stairs to haul your bags can be a hassle, especially after a long day.

Awesome place with comfy rooms, a delicious breakfast, and friendly staff. Free wi-fi and parking are amazing! I remember how the staff helped me plan my evening. If you need a relaxing escape, stay here!

Had an awesome time with my friends! We explored Þingvellir and Gullfoss, and the hotel was a perfect pit stop. The breakfast was fantastic, and the spacious room was a great place to unwind. Loved the food hall across the street too! Amazing value for such a quality stay.

Couple's great escape

The staff was helpful when we asked about local restaurants, they even recommended a cozy spot a few blocks away. Our room had this very nice view over the river, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.

I had a pleasant experience staying at Selfoss for two nights. The reception staff were welcoming and provided efficient service. The superior room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, allowing for a productive work environment. Breakfast featured a great selection of items, including freshly baked pastries and a variety of organic juices. The on-site Riverside Spa was a fantastic way to relax after work, with a hot tub that enhanced my stay significantly.
