The favourable location was around 4-6 minutes away by foot from Selfoss Church. Set in 5 minutes' walk to downtown, and the staff were helpful. The restaurant was EXCELLENT for dinner, we ordered excellent dishes.

Had a new-fashioned standard room, which allowed us to enjoy attractive view of the town. The bed was comfortable and there were a coffee maker and glassware. Had central location helpful in getting us started in visiting sights in the area.

The breakfast buffet was excellent! Loved the variety of Icelandic delicacies and the beautiful river view added charm to our stay.

Spacious rooms with lovely riverside views are a highlight, particularly the ground-level accommodations, which offer easy access to the outdoors. The breakfast spread features plenty of fresh options, but the standout is the rich selection of pastries and local specialties served hot.
Getting to the entrance isn't exactly a walk in the park, especially with the parking lot located 50-75 meters away and limited shelter from the elements. The hot water delivers a distinct sulfur smell that's reminiscent of rotten eggs, which could definitely take some getting used to, especially if you're expecting a fresh shower experience.
